The government intensively worked the whole year to achieve the maximum result at the NATO summit in Wales, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said Aug. 29.

"A package has been worked out," he added. "The government did its best and I was involved in this process."

Garibashvili said that he had telephone conversations with the U.S Vice-President, the German chancellor, the French president, and the Prime Minister of Holland during the last two weeks.

Garibashvili stressed that Georgia is fully supported by these countries. The country is waiting for an adequate assessment of its efforts at the summit.

NATO summit will be held in Wales on September 4-5.
