Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with Austrian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Integration Sebastian Kurz and discussed the bilateral relations and prospects for intensifying the cooperation.

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with Austrian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Integration Sebastian Kurz and discussed the bilateral relations and prospects for intensifying the cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the timely ratification of the association agreement between Georgia and EU and Margvelashvili expressed gratitude for Austria's support to Georgia's European integration.

The regional cooperation projects and the results of NATO's Wales summit were also among the issues discussed during the meeting.

"I'm glad to have an opportunity to visit Georgia. This is my first visit, being in this post and I hope that this will create a great opportunity to intensify the cooperation in political and economic spheres," Kurz stressed.

The meeting was also attended by Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze, Security Council Secretary Irina Imerlishvili, President's Advisor for Foreign Affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze and head of the Presidential Administration David Pataraya.
