By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his wife visited the children with solid tumors, the Georgian government told Trend Sept. 13.

The children under 18 years old suffering from tumors are treated in the Cancer Center funded by the "Solidarity Fund" established at the initiative of Garibashvili, according to the report.

Garibashvili and his wife wished the children recovery, gave gifts and expressed their support.
"The solidarity of society is of great importance," Garibashvili said at a meeting with the parents and the medical staff.

"The Solidarity Fund established upon our initiative is working successfully," he said. "Around 25,000 civil servants making monthly contributions have already joined the fund. I was worried because the country can not fully help all ill children. So, the idea of establishing the Solidarity Fund appeared. We united against oncological diseases."

"The fund has already financed the treatment of 11 children under 18 years old," he said. "The co-financing of three children's treatment in the clinics of France and Turkey was approved."
