Georgia, Lithuania mull holding joint military drills

Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with the National Defence Minister of Lithuania Juozas Olekas.

The press service of Georgian presidential administration told Trend Oct. 7 that during the meeting the parties discussed the deepening of bilateral relations between Georgia and Lithuania, including in the defense sector.

They particularly reviewed the issue of holding the joint Georgian-Lithuanian military drills.

The meeting was also attended by Georgia's Defense Minister Irakli Alasania, Deputy Defense Minister Mikhail Darchiashvili, State Security Council's Secretary Irina Imerlishvili, Georgian president's advisor Tengiz Pkhaladze, and Lithuania's Ambassador to Georgia Jonas Paslauskas.
