The new government of Georgia will overcome the challenges facing the country and achieve the restoration of its territorial integrity, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Oct.27.

He was summarizing the results of governance of the Georgian Dream party over two years.

Garibashvili said Georgia's former President Mikheil Saakashvili is the perpetrator of losing of the country's territories.

Moreover, the prime minister once again urged the Abkhazians and Ossetians to create a unified Georgian state.

"Your dreams about the independence are not real, since Georgians will never put up with the loss of the lands that were preserved for us by our ancestors," Garibashvili said.

Large scale military action was launched between Georgia and Russia in South Ossetia on August 8, 2008.

Later, Russian troops occupied Tskhinvali and expelled the Georgian military.

Russia recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia in late August.

In response, Tbilisi ended diplomatic relations with Moscow and has called the two unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia occupied territories.
