Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Jose Graziano da Silva.
During the meeting the sides discussed the long-standing experience of successful cooperation between Georgia and the Food and Agriculture Organization, the Georgian presidential administration told Trend Nov. 4.
Moreover, special attention was paid to the assistance rendered to Georgia by the organization in developing and implementing the agricultural development strategies.
The need of bringing the Georgian agricultural products in line with the European standards was stressed during the meeting. In this regard, the importance is attached to the assistance rendered to Georgia by its partners, in particular the Food and Agriculture Organization.
