The US Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland expressed hope that the strong cooperation between the two countries will continue.
"I'm not going to talk about internal political processes in Georgia. I can only talk about the issues of bilateral relations between Georgia and the US," he said. "I hope that our cooperation will remain strong as is now. We have common goals to strengthen the security and democracy in the region," Norland told reporters on Nov.10.
Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Alasania's friend and colleague, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili resigned as well.
Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze resigned on Nov.5.
