Tbilisi, Georgia, Nov.24 By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: The assessment mission of the European Union (EU) will visit Georgia on Nov.24, EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos said. He made the remarks during a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Brussels last week. The EU welcomes the successful completion of the first phase of the plan for liberalization of visa regime with EU by Georgia and expresses hope that the second phase will also be successfully implemented, EU commissioner said. Garibashvili, for his part, assured Avramopoulos that Georgian government will remain committed to the course of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and is ready to effectively implement the association agreement with EU.
