Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Latvia's President Andris Berzins discussed prospects for deepening relations.
The discussions were held at a working lunch in honor of the Latvian president and government delegation.
The administration of the Georgian government's head said Nov. 26 that the PM thanked the Latvian president for his visit and expressed hope that the Georgian-Latvian business forum will further strengthen trade and economic relations.
The prime minister said that the support of Latvia, as the future president of the EU, is extremely important for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia.
Garibashvili also expressed concern over the so-called agreement formalized between Russia and occupied Abkhazia and assessed it as a document on annexation.
He stated that the Georgian government will do its best to provide comprehensive information to international community, and will use all possible international leverages.
The Latvian president, for his part, said his country firmly supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
After the luncheon, the Georgian PM and the Latvian president departed for a business forum.
