The 30th round of the Georgian-Russian negotiations will be held in Geneva on December 9-10. A Georgian delegation will be headed by the First Deputy Foreign Minister David Dondua.

The Georgian side will stress the issue of signing the so-called alliance treaty between Russia and Abkhazia, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry David Kereselidze said.

"The Georgian side will raise the issue of signing the so-called treaty of alliance and strategic partnership between Russia and occupation regime of Abkhazia and express the protest as part of the first working group," Kereselidze said. "The situation with human rights in the area adjacent to the occupied regions will be discussed."

Dondua considers the continuation of the format of the Geneva talks as successful.

"We use this format to raise the issue of the so-called treaty and listen to the positions of Russia and occupied Abkhazia on this occasion," Dondua said. "This process is so complex. We will gain success if we reach any result."
