Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) heard the report about the work done by the special manager of KazTransGas-Tbilisi LLC Gia Benashvili.
After hearing the report, it was decided to extend Benashvili's term of office till April 1, 2015.
The corresponding amendments were made to GNERC's resolution 'On stable supply of natural gas to Tbilisi' dated March 16, 2009.
Earlier, Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze said that after the New Year, the company will be retuned to the Kazakh side and Kazakh management in the company will also be restored.
Earlier in 2009, a special manager was appointed to the KazTransGas-Tbilisi, in accordance with the decision of Kutaisi City Court (Georgia) on the initiative of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation. The measure was taken due to KazTransGas-Tbilisi's 80 million GEL debt (about $45 million as of Nov. 14).
