The Minister of Defence of Georgia Mindia Janelidze met with the commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) under the auspices of NATO and US troops in Afghanistan, General John F. Campbell during an official visit to this country, the ministry of defence of Georgia told Trend Jan.5.

It is reported that during the meeting the parties discussed the issue of participation of Georgian troops in the NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, as well as security issues.

During the meeting, the commander noted the professionalism of the Georgian soldiers and thanked them for their participation in the international peacekeeping mission of ISAF.

Since 2015, a new NATO mission Resolute Support will begin in Afghanistan, and the Georgian troops will also take part in it.
