New direct flights from Tbilisi to Asia will open in 2015, the Department of Public Relations of the National Tourism Administration of Azerbaijan told Trend Feb. 25.
In particular, the Etihad Airways of the United Arab Emirates plan to open Abu Dhabi-Tbilisi-Abu Dhabi flight and Kazakh Air Astana - new Astana-Tbilisi-Astana flight.
The Tourism Administration also said that Tbilisi-Moscow direct flights in 2015 will be implemented 13 times a week.
In 2014, Georgia was visited by 5,493 million foreigners, which is 2 percent more than in 2013. Some 88 percent of tourists, or 4.84 million people came last year to Georgia from neighboring countries. The country plans to attract even more tourists in 2015.
