No talks are being held between the diplomats on the meeting of Georgian and Russian presidents, speaker of Georgian Foreign Ministry David Kereselidze said.

Georgian Presidential Administration gave a very good explanation in connection with the remarks made by Russian president's spokesman Dmitry Peskov that some diplomats are taking about the possibility of this meeting, according to Kereselidze.

"I repeat the same. No talks are being held between the diplomats about such a meeting," he said, adding that in any case, he doesn't know such diplomats, Georgia Online reported.

Russian President Putin said on Dec.18, 2014 that he will be happy to receive any representative of the Georgian authorities in Moscow.

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that time they are ready to hold a formal meeting with President Putin, but it needs careful consideration.
