Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili for the first time in the country's history presented a woman, MP Tina Khidasheli, as a candidate for the defence minister's position, RIA Novosti reported May 1.
Garibashvili also presented the candidacies of three new ministers - the ministers of infrastructure, sports and defence in the updated list of the government, which must receive the vote of confidence in Georgia's parliament.
"Following consultations in the coalition, it was decided that there will one more change in the government, in particular, I am presenting the MP Tina Khidasheli as the defense minister," the PM said at a briefing May 1.
