Georgia cuts Azerbaijani goods’ import

Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $93.74 million in Jan.-Feb. 2016, which is 7.5 percent less than the same period of 2015.

Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $93.74 million in Jan.-Feb. 2016, which is 7.5 percent less than the same period of 2015, said a report of Georgia's National Statistics Office.

Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $101.29 million in Jan.-Feb. 2015, according to the report.

Azerbaijan is the fourth among the countries, from which Georgia imports goods.

Azerbaijan's specific weight is 8.3 percent in the total volume of export to Georgia, said the report.

Generally, the country exports gas, oil products, construction materials and other products to Georgia.

Ireland is in the first place for export to Georgia during the reporting period, according to the report. The country exported goods worth $209.21 million (18.5 percent of the total export volume) to Georgia in Jan.-Feb. 2016.
