Web browsing of Trend News Agency's www.Trend.Az reached 12.46 million web-pages in January-May 2011, as compared to 8 million visits during the same period of 2010. According to Google Analytics, the average web browsing during this period amounted to 82,500 per day compared to 53,000 in January-May in 2010

Egyptian Central Bank orders banks to close due to worker strikes
State media reported that the Egyptian Central Bank had ordered banks to close nationwide on Monday, following strikes by workers at state-owned banks who alleged corruption and rampant abuse was still taking place, dpa reported.

Eurasian Expert Forum established
The Eurasian expert forum has today completed its first meeting in Astana. The meeting decided to turn the structure into a permanent expert structure, the Trend Expert Council member, chief editor of the Russian analytical agency Vestnik Kavkaza and Moscow State University History Department Deputy Dean, Alexei Vlasov told Trend over telephone from Astana.
