US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter will visit Turkey’s Ankara October 21, Anadolu Agency reported Oct. 19.
Carter will meet with Turkish leadership to discuss the Syrian crisis and the situation in Iraq.
After his visit to Ankara, Carter will visit the UAE, France and Belgium.
On October 25, the US secretary of defense will take part in the Paris talks between the defense ministers of member countries of the coalition against the “Islamic State” (IS, aka ISIS, ISIL or Daesh) terrorist group.
Carter will arrive in Brussels October 26, where he will take part in the NATO defense ministers’ council meeting.
