The official rate of the Turkish national currency, lira, against the US dollar, will be 3.8352 TRY/USD until the end of 2017, according to the forecasts of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
Earlier, the CBRT forecast the Turkish lira’s rate against the US dollar at 3.8495 TRY/USD for the end of 2017.
The CBRT also forecasts inflation at 9.28 percent for 2017.
On Jan. 12, 2017, the official rate of the Turkish lira against the US dollar reached the level of 3.9004 TRY/USD, which is a new record low since 2005 – the period of the lira’s denomination.
