The terrorist organization al-Qaeda released a video marking the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on New York, the US intelligence monitoring service group SITE said Tuesday.
The 62-minute video entitled "The Dawn of Imminent Victory" also included a speech by al-Qaeda's new chief Ayman al-Zawahiri, who praised the uprisings in the Arab world and sent a warning to the American people, SITE said.
"Do not fall as slaves to the control of the Jewish money capital," Al Zawahiri warned the Americans, DPA reported.
He asked the Americans to read the book Obama's Wars by Bob Woodward, which according to SITE details wrangles over US military decision-making.
"America is denying the fact that it is not facing individuals or groups but the whole ummah (Muslim community) of Islam. After the martyrdom of Sheikh Osama, the Islamic face of the revolutions (throughout the Arab world) was shown," SITE quoted Al-Zawahiri as saying.
Bin Laden was killed in May 2011 in a US raid on his hideout in Pakistan.
Al-Zawahiri, Washington's most wanted man, praised the revolutions in Yemen, Libya, Syria, Egypt and Tunisia without naming countries.
"Al-Qaeda supports the revolutions and hopes it will establish true Islam," al-Zawahiri said.
"The popular revolutions are a form of defeat for the United States, just as the 9/11 attacks and its ... lack of success in Afghanistan and Iraq were also defeats," he added.
Al-Zawahiri was only shown in a still picture in the video, which was released by al-Qaeda's media arm, and posted on jihadist websites.
On Sunday the US marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 strikes.
