Israel will deploy a battery of interceptor missiles in the city of Eilat on the border with Egypt, Al-Jazeera TV channel reported on Thursday.
"The missiles will be deployed 'as part of the programme to change the location of anti-missile defence batteries," Al-Jazeera TV channel reported with reference to a representative of the Israeli Army.
The situation on the Israeli-Egyptian border was complicated after the overthrow of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's regime in February 2011. In 2012, two rockets were launched from the Sinai to Eilat. Cairo denied involvement in this incident.
