Protesting Libyan students in an ongoing row over scholarship funds have left their embassy in Ankara on Tuesday Anadolu Agency reported

Around 150 Libyan students had broken an embassy gate Monday and had entered the yard by force in an effort to meet their ambassador, Abdurrazaq Mukhtar. The Libyan students in Turkey started theprotest over belated scholarship funds from their country.

They came back to demonstrate on Tuesday.

Mukhtar said that out of 1,475 Libyan students in Ankara, 500 had not received their allowances. He urged the students to be patient and cited the political instability in Libya as the reason of delay.

The embassy is expected to meet students again Wednesday.

Libya has been dogged by political instability since the 2011 overthrow and death of longstanding ruler Muammar Gaddafi.
