Tel Aviv is expected to tighten security measures at foreign-based Israeli institutions following the terror attacks in the French capital, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, Sputnik reported.

On Friday night, eight extremists wearing explosive belts attacked several venues across Paris, killing 129 people at restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall and in the vicinity of the Stade de France sports arena.

"Israel stands shoulder to shoulder with France in its war against terror of radical Islam that swept through the Middle East and vast territories of our planet... I have also asked to enhance security measures of Israeli and Jewish institutions abroad immediately," Netanyahu said, as quoted by press service.

Netanyahu stated that terrorism should be strongly condemned, calling for the world to unite in the fight against extremist activities.

Soon after the terror attacks, France enhanced security measures in its diplomatic institutions abroad. Some European countries, including Switzerland and Belgium, have also raised security levels.
