The 63rd International Film Festival of Cannes came to an end officially on Sunday evening, with Thai movie winning this year's most prestigious award, Xinhua reported.

Golden Palm (Palme d'Or )
"Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives"by Apichatpong Weerasethakul. It tells the last stage of life of a kidney patient Uncle Boonmee, who has chosen to spend his final days surrounded by his loved ones in the countryside and find his past lives and reincarnation by a trip in the jungle.
Grand Prix "Of Gods and men", French director Xavier Beauvois'story about a monastery in the mountains of the north African region, where eight French Christian monks live in harmony with their Muslim brothers. Despite the violence and terror slowly taking hold of the region, the monks are determined to stay.
Best Director
French film "On Tour" has won his director Mathieu Amalric Amalric the honor. It tells life about a former Parisian television producer who left everything behind to start a new life in America.
Best Actress
Female actor Juilette Binoche in "Certified Copy." She acted as a French gallery owner, who meets a British author at the end of his lecture at a conference in a small Italian village.
Best Actors
Shared by two distinctive actors, Javier Bardem for "Biutiful" and Elio Germano for "Our Life". In the Spanish Mexican production "Biutiful", Javier Bardem interpreted Uxbal, a cancer survivor Barcelona, who is a devoted father, tormented lover, mystified son and underground businessman, and tries to reconcile with love and save his children.
In "Our Life," Elio Germano interpreted Claudio, who has a happy family in the suburb of Roma. When injustice falls on him, with love and support from friends and family, Claudio fights hard to triumph against the odds.

South Korean "Poetry" of Lee Chang-dong tells a story about a 60-year-old grandmother Mija from a small town who has to write a poem for the first time in her life. When she faces a harsh reality beyond imagination, she realizes life is not as beautiful as she thought.
Jury Prize "A Screaming Man"of Mahamat-Saleh Haroun features story in central Africa Chad, where a 60-year-old hotel pool attendant is forced to give up his job to his son when a new owner takes over the hotel, but in a war-torn country, he is facing other big difficulties more than losing job.
