Dmitry Medvedev, who on Tuesday was approved by the State Duma deputies, and appointed by President Vladimir Putin as prime minister, arrived at Government House, where he held telephone conversations with the leaders of Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti reported citing the press service of the Cabinet.
At Government House, Medvedev had a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Kazakh leader congratulated the new Prime Minister with the confirmation of his nomination and wished success in his work.
Medvedev also held a telephone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Masimov, who also congratulated the Russian prime minister. Heads of Government, among other matters discussed a schedule of upcoming contacts.
