One person was killed and at least 40 were believed to be trapped under the rubble of a three-storey shopping mall that collapsed in the Ghanaian capital Wednesday, reported dpa.
"We rescued six people, who were sent to the hospital, and one person was pulled out dead," Winfred Tasia, operations director of the National Disaster Management Organization told dpa.
According to the owner of the Melcom shopping mall, there were about 50 people inside the building when the accident happened, Tasia said.
