UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will meet with Pope Francis next week in Rome to discuss the continuing cooperation between the UN and the Holy See, the UN said Friday.
The meeting at the Vatican on Tuesday is part of Ban's visit to several European capitals, dpa reported.
The Holy See has observer status in the UN General Assembly, which allows its representatives to speak at all UN meetings.
The UN said Ban will also meet with Italian leaders while visiting Rome.
