Snowplow driver Vladimir Martynenkov which, according to investigators, is the culprit of the accident at the Vnukovo-3airport is currently detained, Alexander Karabanov, lawyer of the driver said to the Interfax news agency Oct.21.

"He was arrested, and an investigation is being conducted," the lawyer said,

The head of the Total French oil company Christophe de Margerie was killed on the night of Oct.21 in a plane crash at Moscow's Vnukovo-3 airport. During the takeoff, the Falcon plane collided with a snowplow, collapsed on the runway and caught fire.

Victims of the disaster were four people on board, including two pilots and a flight attendant. The snowplow driver wasn't seriously injured. Medical assistance was provided to the man on the spot. He was drunk, according to investigators.
