More human remains recovered from MH17 crash site in Ukraine

More human remains were recovered from the Malaysia Airlines passenger flight MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine, TASS reported referring to a statement of the Dutch government.

The remains will soon be sent to Kharkov for initial forensic examination to be later sent to the Netherlands, the government said, adding that it was yet unclear when exactly it would take place.

The Dutch-led works to recover fragments of the ill-fated plane proceeded according to the schedule. Many fragments were taken to a railway station in the town of Torez and partially loaded onto railway cars. Later on, they will be taken to Khrakov, from where they will be sent to the Netherlands.

The work on removing the MH17 wreckage will be continued on Tuesday if the security situation affords, the Dutch government said.

Meanwhile, the Dutch security council, which coordinates the works, said the operation might be over by the end of the week if the security situation does not worsen. The council plans to reconstruct parts of the Boeing in order to ascertain the cause of the crash.

The Boeing 777-200 of the Malaysia Airlines en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed on July 17 in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk Region, some 60 km (over 37 miles) from the Russian border, in the zone of combat operations between the Donetsk self-defense forces and the Ukrainian army. All the passengers and crewmembers onboard the aircraft - 298 people - died. Most of the passengers - 196 people - were Dutch citizens.
