Norman Quartet leaders have no illusions regarding the settlement of the situation in Ukraine, but there is a real chance to improve the situation, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a press-conference, RIA Novosti reported.

"We have reached an agreement on a ceasefire from 00:00 (UTC/GMT +4 hours) on February 15," she told reporters. "We have no illusions. We know that we need to do much work. But there is a real chance to improve the situation."

Merkel addressed a joint briefing with French President Francois Hollande after about 17 hours of negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
