Trend:

During a visit to Hungary, Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian officials will discuss a possible cooperation within the Turkish Stream project, RIA Novosti reported citing Russian presidential aide, Yury Ushakov as saying on Feb. 16.

"There will be a discussion of the situation, in which, due to unconstructive stance of the European Commission, we had to curtail the South Stream gas pipeline project," he told reporters, adding that another option was selected, the gas will go to Europe via the Black Sea, and in this regard, an exchange of views will be held.

He said, "Russia supplies about 80 percent of oil and 70 percent of natural gas consumed in Hungary."

"For us Hungary means a lot as a market for selling our hydrocarbons and as a potential transit country. We are ready for dialogue and a mutually beneficial partnership in this area," the presidential aide said.
