A helicopter with Italy's prime minister, Matteo Renzi, on board made an emergency landing on March 2 at a stadium near the city of Arezzo, RIA Novosti reported citing local media.
Renzi was scheduled to fly morning from his hometown Florence to Rome, but a few minutes after the takeoff, the PM's helicopter was forced to land.
The Italian news agency Ansa reported that the helicopted was forced to land due to mechanical malfunction. However, according to the Il Messaggero newspaper bad weather was the reason for the emergency landing.
Italy's prime minister had to use a car to reach his destination.
