An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted Fiji region at 15:51 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said, according to Xinhua.
The epicenter, with a depth of 579.39 km, was initially determined to be at 21.9139 degrees south latitude and 179.359 degrees west longitude.
