A court in Turkey has decided to keep Alparslan Celik, the alleged murderer of the Russian Su-24 pilot, under custody until late June, Anadolu Agency has reported.

Celik was arrested in Turkey’s Izmir province March 31, but on June 27 it was decided to release him.

He will be kept under custody on the charges not related to the death of the Su-24 pilot.

Earlier, Celik stated that it was him who killed the Russian pilot, who ejected after the Turkish Air Force shot down the Russian Su-24.
