Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has informed the Cabinet of Ministers that a decision to start the process of normalization of relations with Ankara has been made after the letter of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, RIA Novosti reported June 29.
“I’d like to inform you that a decision to start the process of normalization of relations with our Turkish partners has been made after the letter addressed to us by Turkey’s president,” said Putin.
“Today a phone conversation with the president of Turkey has been held,” he noted. “At the beginning of the conversation, of course, I expressed condolences to the country’s president, the Turkish people in connection with the terrorist attack, which occurred in Istanbul.”
It was earlier reported that Turkish and Russian presidents held a phone conversation on June 29.
