Iranian President Hassan Rouhani plans to discuss issues of rendering assistance to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Baku, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Rahimpour said that he and Vladimir Putin want to help Erdogan in creating good conditions (in the country) and solving problems so that he can make the right decision concerning regional issues, Iraq and Syria.

Rouhani and Putin are ready to provide assistance to Erdogan and support him, Rahimpour added. The government should define the people, not the other countries and forces, he said. The assistance Putin and Rouhani can provide, cannot be rendered by the Arabs or Western states, he noted.

Rahimpour noted that Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia are ready to support those issues that serve as security in the region on Aug. 8 in Baku. If there were normal circumstances, Erdogan would also participate in this meeting, but he is leaving for St. Petersburg for a meeting with Putin on Aug. 9, Rahimpour added.
