Russia is ready to develop relations with the new US administration, TASS reported quoting the country’s President Vladimir Putin.
The president said this addressing the Federal Assembly on Dec. 1.
"It is important to normalize and start developing bilateral relations on an equal and mutually beneficial basis," Putin said.
The Russia-US cooperation in solving global and regional issues meets interests of the whole world, according to Russia’s president.
"We have a common responsibility for ensuring international security and stability, as well as for strengthening the non-proliferation regimes," Putin added.
The US presidential election was held November 8. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump won the election. The newly elected president will take office on January 20.
