Turkey will make the last payment on its debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on May 14, 'Anadolu' reported on Friday.
Turkey's last payment will be $421 million. In addition, after the repayment of the debt, Turkey is going to be provided with a $5 billion IMF a loan.
Since the accession of Turkey to the IMF on March 11, 1947, the parties have signed 19 standby agreements. During its entire history of cooperation with the IMF, Turkey has received $50 billion.
