The Readmission Agreement between Turkey and the European Union will be signed on December 16 as part of Turkey's talks with the EU on abolishment of visas for Turkish citizens, Foreign Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu said, Turkish Sabah newspaper reported on Dec. 4.
The minister made the remarks at a press conference held after a meeting with the EU representatives in Brussels.
Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave the green light to the signing of the Readmission Agreement in exchange for liberalization of visa for Turkish citizens.
It was also noted that Turkish citizens will be able to visit Europe without visas after three years, if the process goes on normally after signing of the agreements.
