Turkish Deputy Prime Minister said on Friday that the incumbent AK Party has turned Turkey into a world-wide brand during its administration, Anadolu agency reported.
The third airport project in Istanbul indicates that Turkey has become 'a world-wide brand,' Emrullah Isler said in a speech to party members in the central Turkish city, Konya.
Isler said the success of Turkey's national flag-carrier airline, Turkish Airlines (THY), has promoted the country, which people from around the world have gotten familiar with.
Isler said that Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) conducted over 1,800 projects annually during the AK Party rule and a total of around 2,200 projects since its foundation until the party's government.
TIKA, which aims to boost under-developed countries economically and socially, works in almost 100 countries globally and has increased its aid to over $US1.2 billion in 2011.
