The staff of the new Turkish Cabinet of Ministers has been appointed, Turkish TRT Haber channel reported Aug. 29.
Bulent Arinc, Yalcin Akdogan, Numan Kurtulmus and Ali Babacan became Deputy Prime Ministers of the Turkish government.
Mevlut Cavusoglu was appointed Foreign Minister, Volkan Bozkır - Minister of European Affairs, Nurettin Canikli - Customs and Trade Minister, Aysegul İslam - Family and Social Policies Minister, Taner Yildiz - Minister of Energy, Nihat Zeybekci - Minister of Economy, Mehmet Simsek - Minister of Finance, Bekir Bozdag - Minister of Justice, Fikri Isik - Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Faruk Celik - Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, İdris Gulluce - Minister of Environment and Urban Planning, Akif Cagatay - Minister of Youth and Sports, Mehmet Mehdi Eker - Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Efkan Ala - Interior Minister, Omer Celik - Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nabi Avci - Education Minister, Ismet Yilmaz - National Defense Minister, Veysel Eroglu - Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs, Mehmet Muezzinoglu - Minister of Health, Lutfi Elvan - Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communications and Cevdet Yilmaz - Development Minister.
Earlier, the head of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Acting Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu gave President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a list of the new government staff.
The newly elected president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan took the oath of office in the parliament Aug.28.
Presidential elections were held in Turkey Aug. 10. Recep Tayyip Erdogan who collected 51.8 percent of votes won the elections.
Prime Minister will officially take office after the approval of the president. According to the constitution, the prime minister will be required to submit the program of the government within five working days to the Parliament. The Parliament will vote on confidence for the new Cabinet of Ministers on Sept. 6.
