Muslim countries must make their voice heard in the UN, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was quoted Jan. 21 by TRT Haber TV channel as saying.

He said that the world must not rely on the UN justice system.

"Unfortunately, the world's fate depends on the five countries now [the five permanent members of the UN Security Council]," the president said.

"Muslim countries must fight for their rights in this organization," President Erdogan said.

President Erdogan said that if the Muslim countries do not fight for their rights themselves, then no one will do this for them.

Earlier, President Erdogan called on to change the structure of the UN Security Council.

"It is unfair that only five countries manage all international relations," he said.
