Turkish president's advisor Aydin Unal has submitted a resignation letter, as he will participate in the parliamentary election to be held in the country in June 2015, Milliyet newspaper reported on Jan.30.

It was earlier reported that chief of Turkish intelligence Hakan Fidan is also expected to resign in connection with the participation in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Fidan is expected to submit the resignation letter by Feb.10, 2015.

However, there are different views on the expected resignation of the intelligence chief, since in this case he will lose the inviolability mandate.

The chief of Turkish intelligence Hakan Fidan is one of the key figures in the country in fighting the movement of Fethullah Gulen [Islamic public figure currently residing in the US].
