An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred in Van province, south-eastern Turkey, Anadolu agency said Feb. 4.
The earthquake occurred at 02:48 (UTC/GMT +4 hours) on February 4, Kandilli Observatory, Bogazici University and the Earthquake Research Institute said.
According to the preliminary data, there are no victims or damages. The quake caused panic among the local population.
The tremors were felt in the neighboring provinces as well.
