Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is dissatisfied with the resignation of Hakan Fidan, head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) of the country, Milliyet newspaper quoted the president as saying on Feb.9.

Erdogan said he has already talked with the country's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu about Fidan's resignation.

"I don't welcome Fidan's resignation," said the president. "Meanwhile, I don't have the right to interfere in Davutoglu's affairs."

The resignation letter of the head of the National Intelligence Organization is accepted by prime minister in Turkey.

Hakan Fidan submitted a resignation letter on Feb.7 to take part in the parliamentary election to be held in the country on June 7, 2015.

Representatives of 31 political parties will take part in the parliamentary election in Turkey.

Under the country's law, candidates are required to resign from their previous positions by February 10.

The previous parliamentary election was held in Turkey in 2011. Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party gathered 46.66 percent of votes, Republican People's Party - 20.85 percent, Nationalist Movement Party - 14.29 percent as a result of this election.
