Turkey will temporarily suspend the operation of its embassy in Sana'a, Yemen, Haber7 TV channel reported on Feb.16.

Turkish ambassador Fazli Corman will leave Yemen on Feb.16 and return home.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry earlier urged its citizens to leave Yemen due to the unstable situation in the country.

Foreign ministries of Italy, Germany and the Netherlands declared the same decision on Feb.13. Moreover, the UK, France and the US also decided to temporarily suspend the operation of their embassies in Yemen.

The Shia Houthi rebels in Yemen attacked the country's president in January 2015, according to the Yemeni Information Minister, Nadia al-Saqqaf.

The minister tweeted that the President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi was attacked by armed groups seeking to overthrow the government.

At the same time, the clashes between Houthi rebels and the Yemeni army near the presidential palace in the capital of Yemen stopped.

The Al Arabiya TV channel reported that two soldiers of the presidential guard were killed in the clashes near the presidential palace.

Later, a member of the political council of the Shiite radical movement "Ansar Allah", Hamza al-Houthi told RIA Novosti that the Shiites didn't attempt to overthrow the president of the country, and the clashes with the presidential guard units were provoked by the guards themselves.

He added that the clashes between the "Ansar Allah" radical movement and the presidential guard were caused by the "refusal of several officers of these units to hand over the weapons from the arsenals on the territory of the presidential palace complex to the rebels for storage."
