An anti-terrorist operation is being held in the north-western Turkish province of Edirne, the Turkish Kanal7 TV channel reported July 1.
More than 600 police officers are being involved in the operation. Some 100 people were detained during this operation.
On June 27 the anti-terrorist operation was conducted in six districts of Istanbul. The details of the operation were not disclosed.
Three anti-terrorist operations were conducted in Turkey in January. It was the largest anti-terrorist campaign conducted by the police.
