Istanbul's police have started an antiterrorist operation in several areas this morning, the Turkish Sabah newspaper reported July 10.
The operation involves more than 300 police officers.
Some people were arrested as a result of the operation. Their number has not been disclosed.
An anti-terrorist operation was conducted in six districts of Istanbul on June 27. The details of the operation were not disclosed.
Three anti-terrorist operations were conducted in Turkey in January. This was the largest police operation in the fight against terrorism.
