Turkey's police are conducting an anti-terrorist operation in Ankara against the supporters of the "Islamic State", the Turkish newspaper Milliyet reported July 28.

Fifteen people have been already arrested, 11 of them are foreign nationals, according to the preliminary information.

The report didn't specify the detainees' citizenship.

A total of over 1,050 people have been detained as of now in the anti-terrorist operations in Turkey. They, as Milliyet said, are being suspected of having links with the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS), the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the terrorist group "Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front" (DHKP-C).

Earlier, the head of the Turkish-wing of the IS, Halis Bayancuk, known as Abu Hanzalah, was arrested in Turkey.

Bayancuk was actively involved in the recruitment of Turkish citizens for their departure to Syria and Iraq.

Earlier, Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said his country would continue special operations against illegal structures.
