A major terrorist attack was prevented in Sanliurfa province, southwest Turkey, the Turkish TV Kanal7 channel reported Sept. 9.
A truck with five tons of explosives was detained as a result of the police raid in the province.
The police also found a detailed map of the area in the truck.
A bus carrying police officers has been blown up in Turkey's Igdir province Sept.8.
Reportedly, twelve representatives of the security forces were killed as a result of the explosion.
Following the explosion, Turkish armed forces kicked off a large-scale operation against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Igdir province.
